Questions
Why is verification free?
Verification is the distribution. The more people who can confirm a DCS credential without friction, the more valuable issuing one becomes. Charging to verify would defeat the point.
What does "anchored on Base" mean?
An optional step that records the credential's hash on the Base blockchain, so its existence at a point in time is provable on a public ledger (verifiable on Basescan) — not just by us.
Can I verify credentials that aren't from DCS?
The roadmap includes verifying W3C VCs, PDF signatures, and Open Badges from any issuer. DCS-issued credentials work today.
Do you take a cut of anything, or show ads?
No. Issuers pay a flat monthly tier by volume. Verification is free. There are no ads and we don't sell data.
Start with verification — it's free.
Check a credential right now, or open the console and issue your first one.
