Terms of Service

Effective: 4 June 2026 · DCS Verify, a product of DCS AI Technologies L.L.C, Dubai, UAE

1. What DCS Verify is

DCS Verify is a credential issuance and verification service built on the open R+2 standard. Issuers sign credentials as cryptographic receipts; anyone can verify those receipts — through our website, app, API, or entirely independently using the published standard. These Terms govern your use of verify.dcslabs.ai, api.dcslabs.ai, and related services (the "Service").

2. Verification is free and account-free

Verifying a credential requires no account and costs nothing. Verification results are cryptographic statements: that a signature verifies against a stated key, that content matches a hash, that a status bit is or is not set, and that an anchor exists on-chain. They are not legal advice, an endorsement of any issuer or subject, or a guarantee of any fact beyond the cryptographic checks performed. Advisory signals (portal risk, content analysis, fraud intelligence) are clearly labelled advisory and are never part of the cryptographic verdict.

3. Issuer accounts and API keys

4. Acceptable use

You must not: issue credentials containing false claims or attesting facts you cannot lawfully attest; impersonate another issuer; include data in a credential subject that you have no right to publish; attempt to forge, replay, or tamper with receipts, status lists, or anchors; abuse rate limits or attempt to disrupt the Service; or use the Service for unlawful purposes. Sensitive sectors (health, defence, government, finance) may use the Service for provenance and audit purposes only — not as domain decision logic.

5. Permanence — read this before issuing

Important: anchoring writes a hash (CID) of the credential into a public blockchain (Base). Hashes on-chain are permanent and cannot be deleted by anyone, including us. The hash itself contains no readable personal data. Receipts you give to holders are copies we cannot recall. Revocation marks a credential invalid in the public status list; it does not erase copies others hold.

6. Status and revocation

Issuers may revoke (permanent) or suspend (reversible) status-enabled credentials. Revocation cannot be undone — this is a deliberate property of the system. Status lists are public, anonymous bitstrings.

7. Fees

Verification is free. Issuance is offered on a free tier and paid tiers as published at verify.dcslabs.ai/pricing.html, which may change with notice. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

8. The standard is open; the service is ours

The R+2 standard and reference verifier are MIT-licensed — you may implement them freely. These Terms cover our hosted Service, not your independent use of the standard. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service; because receipts are self-contained and the standard is open, credentials already issued remain verifiable even without us.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DCS AI Technologies L.L.C is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from use of the Service; our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Indemnity

Issuers will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from credentials they issue, including claims that a credential's contents are false, infringing, or include personal data without a lawful basis.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai courts.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
